$137,918,955 in annual earnings x 3.7% PA Tax Rate = $5,103,001

Combined cost savings of each GED®

The combined costs for Pennsylvanians without a high school diploma or GED® of Cash Transfers and non-cash transfers are minus $683 annually while a worker with a high school diploma or GED® enriches the State by $6,067 annually through taxes despite transfer payments and other benefits. Thus, the benefit of moving someone up educationally to a GED® or diploma is $6,067+$683 or $6,750 gain each year.
